Another new beer means another ode to another influential athlete. Growing up as a kid I was introduced very young to the “Faithful To The Bay” community by my father. Being a fan of the 49ers my whole life and watching the franchise change over the years. I thought what better way to share that than by brewing a beer. That is how “George Kettle” was born. This new single hazy starts off with our usual malt bill that we use in all our hazies. Creating that pillowy fluffy mouthfeel we’ve all grown to love. We then top it off with pounds and pounds of hops! For the hops we wanted to use a variety that we have not used before at SBC, and for that we chose Idaho 7. Idaho 7 brought loads of Tropical, Citrus, Stone Fruit, Melon and Berry notes to this beer that we absolutely loved. But, we didn’t stop there, we kept going. On top of Idaho 7 we went with 2 of our favorites: Strata and Krush. This helped balance out that fruit salad with a little bit of dankness, bubblegum, and grapefruit. So whether you’re yelling at your TV over an unnecessary flag, or you’re slamming wings with friends. Fill your glass, raise a paint, and let’s cheers to the Football Season!

For this one we start with our normal fluffy mouthfeel, that feels like pillows dancing on your tastebuds, and just douse it with an absurd amount of hops. That medley consists of Citra, Mosaic, and Krush (formerly known as HBC 586). Notes of ripe citrus, fresh mixed berries, fresh peach, and guava come together to create an absolute spoonful of flavor. Like that very first bite of your favorite cereal, down to the milk at the end of the bowl, this beer is flavorful throughout! Our Name Is Rich In History!
1854 – The Solano Brewing Company was founded in 1854 by German immigrant, Charles Widenmann. The brewery gained popularity in the late 19th century and became renowned for its steam beer.
Charles and his brewers produced up to 6,000 barrels a year and had their own Malt House which sat between Georgia and York Street in Vallejo.
1918 – After 64 years of business, production came to a screeching halt when General Order No. 99 (Prohibition in the Navy) was sent out and ultimately forced Charles to shut down Solano Brewing Company in 1918.
After almost a century of dormancy, two Solano County natives, who unearthed the history of SBC, decided to pick up where Charles left off and re-imagined what Solano Brewing Company could become in this exciting new time of Craft Brewing.
2015 – In 2015, Randy Dawson and Sean Bonifacio collaborated with the goal of creating a local, excellent quality beer with hometown roots, the outcome was Solano Brewing Company, LLC. Fortunately, their paths crossed with Brian Bell and the fun began! Brian is our Head Brewer and has been the Catalyst to making SBC what it is today.
Solano Brewing Company currently brews and operates on a 20-acre parcel of land located at 5500 Weber Road in Vacaville.

Kiwi a slang term for a New Zealand native. That mixed with the meaning of New Zealand in their native Māori language. "Land of the Long White Cloud". Is how the name Kiwi Clouds was born. For this beer we take 2 of the tastiest NZ hops on the market today. Nectaron and Nelson Sauvin. But we didn’t stop there. We wanted to mix it up a bit and throw a hop that is new to the scene. And for that we chose HBC 1019. The result is a layered hazy like none we have made before. You get the over ripened peach, that turns into citrus, that melts into candy and coconut, that then dissipates into a world of weed and dankness. All of that followed by its rich, full, and creamy mouthfeel makes this hazy, as the NZ folk would say, “Sweet As!”

The third in our SMaSh (Single Malt and Single Hop) Series. We decided to go completely new school! We used trusty ol' 2 Row and 100% Citra Cryo Hops. One of the world's most favorite hops in a new highly concentrated hop pellet! What more could you want? And instead of the classic Dry Hopping Method we went with a new Method called Knockout Hops. Meaning, we run the beer onto the hops in the fermenter and then let them coexist with the yeast during fermentation. Citra really got to be the star of this beer. Enjoy the notes Citrus, Tropical Fruits, and Papaya!
